UPDATE

Salam Parents,


 Here is an update on what we will be learning for the next couple of months in each subject.


Language: We will be starting our novel study on "Charlotte's Web" on Monday. We will read the novel as a class and students will learn new vocabulary, write chapter summaries, and have quizzes. There will also be mini assignments and a final project at the end. Students also need to bring in one empty notebook by Monday.

Social Studies: We will begin our next unit "Heritage and Identity: Early Societties, 300 BCE-1500 CE".  This unit is very fun since students explore the medieval times and learn about kings, queens, serfs, peasants and castles. We will also learn about Mesopotamia, The Mayans, First Nations, Aztecs, and the importance of archeological sites.

Islamic Studies: This months focus will be on "Islam in Africa". Students will learn about the presence and contribution of Islam in African countries. We will look at historical facts and learn about different mosques.
