Update!!

Salam Everyone,

InshAllah you had a relaxing March Break and enjoyed time with loved ones! Student's are getting back into routine and finishing up many strands from where they left off. Here is an update on what we are learning in class.

Language Arts: Students finished reading Charlotte's Web and will be comparing the novel to the movie. They will be writing a five paragraph essay to show the comparison.

Social Studies: Students received a new project on researching about Muslim Inventors. Before the break, we reviewed simple inventions used during the Middle Ages to help with agriculture. Muslims were prevailing at that time as well and developed and discovered many things. Therefore, this is a great way to integrate it and have students explore these inventions.

Gym/Health: We will be starting to look more into healthy eating habits and the importance of exercise.

Islamic Studies: This months unit is based on relationships. We will be focusing on Prophet Yaqoub and Prophet Yousuf as well as looking at relationships among family and incorporating this months theme of cooperating.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me. JAk!! :)
