Grade 4B Library Visit

Grade 4B Library Visit on September 21, 2016

For the grade 4B students to familiarize themselves with the research process, we looked at the different steps needed to create a research report that they can be proud of, inshaAllah. For the next little while, we will be looking at each step in depth. During their academic career, the grade 4B students will be called upon to research a particular topic. My goal is to have the students feel confident not feel intimidated if they are required to research a topic.

For the students to gain background knowledge on what we will be looking at next week, I have asked them to go to the How to Research website. Here is the link to the site.

Social Studies Test- Monday

Canada's Provinces and Territories Test on Monday. Students will be given a blank map and will have to locate the 10 provinces and 3 territories on it.

Math and Science Homework

Assalamu alaikom Dear Parents,

Math homework: Workbook p. 2 - due tomorrow

Science homework: reading page 4 and 5 and answering questions on page 6 - (Habitats package) due Friday

Homework:

Spelling lesson 1 due Friday + Spelling Test

Students will get 10 weekly words from spelling spectrum. They will have Monday's class to work on the lesson. Throughout the week we will be completing "word work" worksheets which will all be related to the weekly lesson.

What is something you can't live without?

Homework: Fuzzyland story map due tomorrow
-Students had 20 minutes of class time to work on this and many of them are done. I try not to give students extra work and have them just finish what they could not in class :)
